How much does it cost to adopt a cat in NYC? ›

The adoption fee is $150 for a cat or kitten and $250 for a pair.

If you can no longer keep a pet, you can bring it to the Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC). ACC does not pick up unwanted pets from the homes of pet owners. If the pet cannot be adopted or placed with a New Hope Partner, it may be humanely euthanized. It is free to surrender a pet if you make an appointment.
